WHAT IS F/8TE?

Jonné Emauni is an incredibly talented artist and photographer who is based in Chicago. She is passionate about exploring new creative avenues and pushing the boundaries of what is considered the norm. Jonné's work is highly personal and reflects both the joy and pain of her life experiences. She believes in allowing her audience to interpret her work in their own way, and as such, she rarely gives individual titles to her pieces. Jonné has gained a reputation for her exceptional technical skills, which she honed while working behind the camera at basketball games and concerts. She found that isolation allowed her to focus on her craft and the technicality of the events, which sparked her interest in the business aspect of creating something bigger than the surface. In 2011, she founded F/8TE Photos, which later evolved into F/8TE Productions, a full creative house. Jonné's time at Howard University allowed her to explore new mediums and gain valuable business knowledge, which encouraged her to publicize her art on a broader scale and share it globally. Her ultimate goal is to increase the representation of black and brown creatives in the industry and to fill more spaces with her unique presence.
